Outbreak

An adventure thriller with two big name stars. The antagonist is an evil virus (how topical and timely) escaping and having a wonderful time eating everything in sight while an ethical man of medicine (Dustin Hoffman) and an unethical, but determined man of military (Donald Sutherland) battle before the final outcome of the outbreak.

Director Wolfgang Peterson puts together and exciting and enjoyable film, closer to his voyage into the Neverending Story than the spell binding Boat. Maybe he thinks English speaking general audiences aren't up to higher standards. This could have been a truly horrifying and wrenching experience instead of a thrilling story of good-conquers-evil and love-conquers-all. Top box-office "dolores" nevertheless, naturlich.
